Owensboro HSOWENSBORO, Ky. (2/13/19) — Remaining in the win column at home, Owensboro pulled away to defeat Hopkinsville 72-46 in a boys' high school basketball game on Tuesday night.

With the win, its seventh consecutive victory, Owensboro improved to 8-7.

Hopkinsville dropped to 16-11 with the loss.

Dante Greer and Gavin Wimsatt scored 15 points apiece to lead Owensboro to the victory. Following directly behind two of his teammates in double figures, Darrion Wimsatt added 14 points for the Red Devils.

Owensboro led 39-24 at halftime and put the game completely out of Hopkinsville's reach early in the second half. The Red Devils outscored the Tigers 17-4 in the third quarter.

Don Victor paced Hopkinsville with 14 points. Victor was the only Tiger to reach double figures in the scoring column. Narrowly missing double figures for Hopkinsville, Jacarius Burks posted nine points.
