Daviess County HS logoMORGANFIELD, Ky. (2/15/19) — Daviess County fell short on the road as host Union County held on to win 68-67 in a boys' high school basketball game on Thursday night.

With the loss, Daviess County dropped to 10-14.

Union County improved to 17-8 with the win.

After gradually distancing itself from visiting Daviess County in the opening half, Union County led 38-25 at halftime.

Skyler Walden scored 32 points, pulled down seven rebounds and recorded three steals for Daviess County in the setback. Accompanying Walden in double figures for the Panthers, Grant Luckett tossed in 13 points and Gavan Ray added 10 points.
