WHITESVILLE, Ky. (4/11/19) — Host Whitesville Trinity finished runner-up in the 3rd Region All "A" Classic softball tournament as Hancock County pulled away to win 15-1 in five innings in the title game on Wednesday.Trinity Raiders logo

With the loss, Whitesville Trinity dropped to 2-11.

Hancock County improved to 12-2 with the win.

Claire Westerfield was the winning pitcher for the Lady Hornets. Westerfield worked all five innings, allowing one run on six hits while striking out three and walking zero.

Whitesville Trinity pitcher Nina Wathen took the loss. Wathen pitched three innings, allowing seven runs on five hits and striking out two.

Hancock County outhit Whitesville Trinity 9-6.

Braley Roberts and Jayda Garrison led Hancock County at the plate, providing three hits apiece. Garrison homered for the Lady Hornets in the fourth inning.

Savannah Aull paced Trinity at the plate, finishing with two hits in three at-bats.
