OwensboroCatholic baseballDIXON, Ky. (4/14/19) — Producing at the plate, Sam McFarland, Luke Scales and Andrew Wiman combined to lead Owensboro Catholic past host Webster County 19-7 in five innings in a high school baseball game on Saturday.

With the win, Owensboro Catholic improved to 11-6.

Webster County dropped to 4-12 with the loss.

Everett Munsey earned the pitching win for the Aces. Munsey allowed six hits and five runs over three innings, striking out five.

Another Owensboro Catholic pitcher, Luke Evans, threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Webster County pitcher Drake Zimmerman took the loss. Zimmerman allowed 11 hits and 16 runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two.

McFarland delivered five RBIs in four at-bats for the Aces. Scales went 4-for-5 with a home run and five RBIs while Wiman finished 4-for-5 with two runs batted in as the Aces won convincingly.

The Aces erupted for 12 runs in the third inning. Owensboro Catholic plated 19 runs on 17 hits.

Brendon Thompson paced Webster County at the plate, connecting for two hits.
