DCOWENSBORO, Ky. (5/14/19) — Daviess County claimed a convincing victory on its home field on Monday, shutting out visiting South Spencer (Ind.) 11-0 in five innings in a late-season high school softball game.

With the win, Daviess County improved to 17-11.

Daviess County pitcher Cameron Hamilton tossed a two-hitter and earned the pitching win.

Daviess County outhit South Spencer 9-2.

The Lady Panthers excelled at the plate as Abby Newman went 2-for-2 with three runs scored and an RBI while Millie Roberts homered and went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and one run.

Sydney Howard homered and went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs for Daviess County in the triumph.

Helping to lift the Lady Panthers at the plate, Emma Young provided a solo homer.
