Daviess County HS logoOWENSBORO, Ky. (5/15/19) — Determined Daviess County managed to edge visiting Grayson County 2-1 in a late-season high school baseball game on Tuesday.

With the win, Daviess County improved to 10-18.

Grayson County dropped to 18-16 with the loss.

Ryan Thomson drove in both of the Panthers' runs.

Aiding the Daviess County offensive attack, Garrett Small and Jacob Crabtree delivered two hits apiece.

Samuel Johnson earned the pitching win for the Panthers. Johnson pitched a complete game, allowing five hits while recording six strikeouts over seven innings.

Daviess County returned to the win column following back-to-back losses.
