Owensboro RiverDawgsOWENSBORO, Ky. (7/8/19) — Host Owensboro plated two runs in the sixth inning to pull away to beat Muhlenberg County 7-4 in an Ohio Valley League game at Independence Field at Chautauqua Park on Sunday.

Cameron Harvey claimed the pitching win for the RiverDawgs. Harvery surrendered two runs on three hits over four innings, striking out three. Drake Hamil threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen for the RiverDawgs. Hamil recorded the last three outs to earn the save

Logan King suffered the pitching loss for the Stallions. King pitched six innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out five and walking one.

Owensboro banged out 13 hits in the victory. Ian Ellis, Kirk Liebert, Manny Gonzalez, Josh Bennett and Kyle Hogwood paced Owensboro's balanced offensive attack with two hits apiece.

Kody Putnam went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Muhlenberg County in the hits column.
