Bombers logoMADISONVILLE, Ky. (7/8/19) — Dubois County pulled off a sweep on Sunday, defeating host Madisonville 9-1 in the final game of an Ohio Valley League doubleheader at Elmer Kelley Stadium. 

Patrick Queener earned the win on the mound for the Bombers. Queener pitched six innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out seven. Helping to close out the game for Dubois County, Chase Rudy threw one inning in relief.

Ryan Pierce suffered the pitching loss for the Miners. Pierce pitched five innings, allowing seven hits and five runs while striking out two and walking one.

Tyler Best and Chase Hug each homered for Dubois County in the victory.

Best, Hug, Zuriel Collins and Adam Hedinger each delivered multiple hits for the Bombers. As a team, Dubois County recorded 11 hits. Best went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Dubois County in the hits column.

Najay King led Madisonville at the plate, collecting two hits in three at-bats.
