Owensboro RiverDawgsOWENSBORO, Ky. (7/9/19) — Owensboro carried a 3-1 lead out of the opening inning and boasted another lead but eventually faltered as visiting Fulton eventually pulled away to win 9-6 in an Ohio Valley League game at Independence Bank Field at Chautauqua Park on Monday.

Brad Webber earned the pitching win for the Railroaders. Webber pitched two innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out six. Ryan Middleton threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen for the Railroaders. Middleton recorded the last nine outs to notch the save.

Garrett Whitticker took the pitching loss for the RiverDawgs. Whitticker surrendered two runs on one hit over one-third of an inning, walking one.

Fulton outhit Owensboro 11-8. O'Neil Burgos, Garrett Guymon and Ian Drays each collected multiple hits for the Railroaders. Burgos went 3-for-6 at the plate to lead Fulton in the hits column.

Manny Gonzalez and Michael Wymann led Owensboro with two hits apiece. Providing Owensboro with an early lift, Ian Ellis homered in the first inning.
