Owensboro RiverDawgsOWENSBORO, Ky. (7/10/19) — Owensboro pulled off a sweep on Tuesday, beating Madisonville 6-4 in the nightcap of an Ohio Valley League doubleheader at Independence Bank Field at Chautauqua Park.

Huston Richter registered the win on the mound for the RiverDawgs. Richter pitched four and two-thirds innings, allowing four runs on six hits and striking out six. Holden Martin and Drake Hamil, entered the game from the bullpen and helped to close out the matchup in relief roles for the RiverDawgs. Hamil recorded the last three outs to claim the save.

Adam Weining suffered the pitching loss for the Miners. Weining tossed three and a third innings, allowing five hits and five runs while striking out three.

Each team collected seven hits while committing one error.

Kirk Liebert went 2-for-2 at the plate and homered to lead Owensboro offensively.

Ricky Sisto and Michael Sookdeo paced Madisonville with two hits apiece.
