Bombers logoHUNTINGBURG, Ind. (7/13/19) — Host Dubois County fell short in the end as Franklin pulled away to win 10-7 in an Ohio Valley League game at League Stadium on Friday.

Thriving late, Franklin erupted for seven runs in the top half of the ninth inning.

Mickey Foytik claimed the pitching win for the Duelers. Foytik surrendered zero runs on zero hits over one inning, striking out two and walking zero. Three other pitchers — David Hall, Branon Pope and Trevor Beards — each put in work in relief out of the bullpen for the Duelers.

Brennan LaBarbera absorbed the pitching loss for the Bombers. LaBarbera allowed three hits and four runs over one inning, striking out two.

Each team recorded 13 hits. Travis Faix, John Benevolent, Trejen Birdwell, Tim Blankenberger and Jack Banks each registered multiple hits for the Duelers. Faix and Benevolent led Franklin with three hits apiece. 

Matt Ellis, Benji Brokemond, Chase Hug and Bryson McNay each collected multiple hits for the Bombers. Ellis went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Dubois County's offensive effort.
