Owensboro RiverDawgsLOUISVILLE, Ky. (8/9/19) — The Owensboro RiverDawgs fell short on the second day of the Bluegrass World Series as the Hattiesburg Black Sox held on to win 2-1 at Louisville Slugger Field on Friday.

Owensboro lost despite outhitting Hattiesburg 5-3.

Ethan Dayley led Hattiesburg to the victory on the mound. Dayley allowed five hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 12 and walking one as he claimed the pitching win.

Darius Wright threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen for the Black Sox. Wright recorded the last six outs to post the save.

Cameron Harvey suffered the pitching loss for the RiverDawgs. Harvey surrendered one run on one hit over two innings, striking out two.

Casey Echoles went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Hattiesburg in the hits column.

Trevor Campbell led Owensboro offensively, delivering two hits in four at-bats.
