RiverDawgsBaseballLOUISVILLE, Ky. (8/10/19) — The Owensboro RiverDawgs couldn't overcome a slow start as the Louisville Stars prevailed 7-4 in the Bluegrass World Series at Louisville Slugger Field on Saturday.

Productive Louisville led 4-1 at the conclusion of the opening inning.

Justin Marks claimed the pitching win for the Stars. Marks pitched two innings, allowing two hits and one run while striking out three. Another Louisville pitcher, Neil Holland, recorded the last two outs to earn the save.

Cameron Harvey suffered the pitching loss for the RiverDawgs. Harvey pitched one-third of an inning, allowing four runs on three hits.

Louisville outhit Owensboro 10-6. Jeff Keppinger and Garrett Jones each collected multiple hits for the Stars. Keppinger went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Louisville in the hits column.

Trevor Campbell paced Owensboro at the plate, delivering three hits in five at-bats.
