Owensboro HSOWENSBORO, Ky. (10/9/19) — Owensboro passed its first postseason test on Tuesday, topping rival Apollo 3-1 in the 9th District Boys' Soccer Tournament at Daviess County High School. 

With the win, Owensboro improved to 15-4-2 and advanced to the 9th District boys' soccer title game.

Apollo ended its season 10-9-2 with the loss.

Andrew Saltsman (two goals), Joshua Head (one goal), Noah Tucker (one assist), Grayson McFarland (one assist) and Hser Thaw (one assist) combined to lead Owensboro offensively.

Defensively for Owensboro, goalkeeper Radley Worth recorded four saves while allowing only one goal.

Owensboro is set to face Daviess County in the 9th District boys' soccer title game at 7 p.m. on Thursday
