Owensboro HSOWENSBORO, Ky. (2/15/20) — Owensboro used multiple runs to pull away to beat visiting Owensboro Catholic 77-55 in a 9th District boys' basketball game on Friday night.

With the win, Owensboro improved to 16-10 overall and 6-0 in the 9th District.

Owensboro Catholic dropped to 17-10 overall and 4-2 in the district with the loss.

Amari Robinson-Wales led Owensboro to the win, scoring a game-high 18 points for the Red Devils. Accompanying Robinson-Wales in double figures in scoring for Owensboro, Kenyatta Carbon contributed 18 points, Jaiden Greathouse added 15 points and Gavin Wimatt posted 11 points.

The Red Devils led 42-23 at halftime and doubled up the Aces 18-9 in the third quarter.

Brian Griffith paced Owensboro Catholic with 16 points. Joining Griffith in double figures in scoring for the Aces, Drew Hartz and Ji Webb added 14 points apiece.
