Hoppers logoHOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (7/10/19) — Hoptown returned to the win column on Tuesday, knocking off Muhlenberg County 18-12 in an Ohio Valley League game at Hopkinsville High School.

Cam Barlow earned the pitching win for the Hoppers. Barlow pitched five and a third innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out eight.

Blake Shelton absorbed the pitching loss for the Stallions. Shelton allowed three hits and seven runs over one-third of an inning, striking out one.

Muhlenberg County lost despite outhitting Hoptown 11-9.

Offensively, Drew McGowan, Charlie Fischer and Ben Huber paced Hoptown with two hits apiece.

Will Myers, Adrian Minjares and Jake Edwards each collected multiple hits for the Stallions. Myers led Muhlenberg County at the plate, finishing 3-for-4. Both Minjares and Edwards homered for the Stallions.

Each Ohio Valley League team committed two errors.
