hoptown hoppers 300HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (7/11/19) — Hoptown remained in the win column on Wednesday, toppling visiting Owensboro 12-3 in an Ohio Valley League game at Hopkinsville High School's Tiger Field.

Will Nash claimed the pitching win for the Hoppers. Nash allowed four hits and three runs over six innings, striking out eight and walking zero.

Brice Stuteville suffered the pitching loss for the RiverDawgs. Stuteville allowed seven hits and 11 runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one.

Hoptown outhit Owensboro 13-4. Micah Genter, Ben Huber, Cameron Hill and Jacob Jenkins each collected multiple hits for the Hoppers. Genter and Huber recorded three hits apiece to lead Hoptown offensively. Huber drove in five runs for the Hoppers.

Ian Ellis led Owensboro at the plate, providing with two hits in three at-bats.

The two Ohio Valley League teams combined to commit five errors. Hoptown overcame three errors to win convincingly.
