arrest hcs mpd 300MORTONS GAP, Ky. (6/12/18) — Four individuals from across western Kentucky face a variety of charges.

Authorities reported taking four people to jail after after an investigation at a Liberty Street home in Mortons Gap Monday afternoon.

Madisonville/Hopkins County Vice/Narcotics Unit reported conducting surveillance in that area after receiving a number of drug trafficking activity complaints.

At 1:30 p.m., detectives approached the home as a male juvenile stepped out a side door, according to the report. Two men were seen sitting inside the open door known to have active arrest warrants.

“As detectives went to place the two in custody, several subjects inside the residence began to run and yell, ‘We are being raided,’” Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Steve Bryan wrote.

Two people inside identified as Jeremy Tucker, 27 of Paducah and Kimberly Hale, 23 of Hopkinsville were apprehended, the narcotics unit reported. Tucker was charged with parole violation and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance-more than two grams of meth (second offense). Hale was charged with first-degree possession of synthetic drugs and tampering with physical evidence.

At 4 p.m., detectives were granted a search warrant at the premises, authorities reported, finding meth, possible synthetic drugs, paraphernalia and cash.

Others charged during the raid included Patrick Weidman, 31 of Owensboro. He was served with a Hopkins County warrant on charges of failure to appear and failure to pay fines. Christopher D. Williams, 32 of Mortons Gap was served a Hopkins warrant on failure to pay fines.

Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Madisonville Police Department officers assisted.
