elkton pairELKTON, Ky. (1/9/19) — Two Elkton men were charged on meth-related offenses yesterday morning after Kentucky State Police went to one man’s residence to serve him with an arrest warrant.

KSP Post 2 said Trooper Hunter Carroll and Trooper Curtis Crick went to the home of 67-year-old Jimmy Brumfield to serve a warrant for his arrest.

While there, troopers located Brumfield and Carl Ricchuite, 60, in an outbuilding on the property. Inside, troopers located a substance that appeared to be methamphetamine.

Brumfield was charged with a first-degree trafficking trafficking in a controlled substance/meth – first offense and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon on warrants and first-degree possession of a controlled substance/meth – second offense and tampering with physical evidence.

Ricchuite was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance/meth – first offense and tampering with physical evidence.

Both are being held in the Todd County Detention Center.
