murder INVESTIGATIONTODD COUNTY, Ky. (2/15/19) — Kentucky State Police Post 2 is seeking the public's assistance in investigating a three-year-old murder case.

KSP was notified June 28, 2015 about an Old Trenton Road, Guthrie residence that had been broken into and a possible assault. Enos Yoder called Todd Central Dispatch at 8:07 a.m advising someone had broken into his father's home, assaulted him and that his father was possibly dead.

KSP said the Todd County Sheriff's Office arrived at 8:19 a.m. and summoned KSP. When KSP units arrived at 8:52 a.m., detectives determined that while Todd and Marjorie Yoder slept, a person or people entered the home at approximately 2 a.m. and demanded money. The Yoders were bound and assaulted during the robbery. Amos Yoder, 79, died from his injuries. Marjorie Yoder, 75, was transported to the hospital for injuries.

Detectives found the perpetrator(s) left the residence with an unknown amount of money. Several items of evidence were collected and a specialized team processed the residence for fingerprints. Several items seized are being examined for DNA evidence, said police.

Since the murder, KSP has conducted multiple interviews and continues to investigate.

Anyone with information that might help investigators is asked to call KSP Post 2 at (270) 676-3313.
