Bingham 3 12MARION, Ky. (3/12/19) — Kentucky State Police Post 2 is investing a domestic violence-related shooting that happened off West Main Street in Marion Monday night.

Investigation resulted in the arrest of a man accused of shooting a woman during the dispute around 10 p.m.

Troopers Jonathan Murphy and Brandon McPherson responded to assist Marion Police Department per MPD’s request, determining Christopher Chase Bingham, 28 of Morgantown, shot Victoria Clifford, 26 of Marion, according to the report.

Clifford was flown via medical helicopter to Deaconess Gateway in Evansville, Indiana for treatment of injury. KSP reported Clifford is in stable condition. Bingham left the scene in a 2006 Gray Buick Envoy, and Marion police later arrested him.

Bingham was charged with first-degree assault-domestic violence and convicted felon in possession of a handgun. MPD charged Bingham with leaving the scene of an accident-failure to render aid. He was taken to Crittenden County Jail, where he was listed as being held today, pending bond.
