ThumbnailCERULEAN, KY., — Dorothy Hyde, 82, of Cerulean passed away at 1:32am Monday, October 8, 2018 at her home. A native of Christian County she was born on September 5, 1936 the daughter of the late Hugh Coleman Phipps and Rosalie Rogers Phipps. She was a charter member of Highland Presbyterian Church and was a current member of First Baptist Church. She worked at J.B. Hyde Oil Company and was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Bainbridge Grove Homemakers Club and Gideons International.

Survivors include her husband J.B. Hyde of Cerulean, sons James Hyde of Hopkinsville, and Jeffery Hyde of Denton, TX., daughters Janet (Rick) Rinehart of Cerulean, and Joyce (Stan) Marion of Merritt Island, FL., grandchildren James Hyde, Jessica Hyde, Lindsey Murt, Scott Marion, Elizabeth Marion, Sarah Marion, Conner Rinehart & Margaret Rinehart.

Funeral services will be held at 1pm Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Joe Buford officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 4pm until 7pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
