loan collegeFRANKFORT, Ky. (12/27/17) — Bridgette Victor and Keith Ritchie will work with Christian County High School students this year to prepare them for college, Hentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority announced today.

Ritchie was recently named the advisor to the Kentucky College Coaches Program by KHEAA. Victor, a native of Hopkinsville, is the college coach at CCHS.

“I am very excited to be back this year as the college coach at Christian County High School,” Victor said. “My mission is to assist with furthering education and assuring that every student has the opportunity to become successful.”

College coaches are recent college graduates who work in local high schools to help students prepare for and apply to college. KHEAA sponsors 31 coaches across the state. Victor attended Kentucky State University.

“The coaches help students and families navigate through the entire college admissions and financial aid process,” Ritchie said. “We are in the business of changing lives, and I’m blessed to be a part of it.”

The Kentucky Campus Compact is a group of 18 presidents of Kentucky colleges and universities. The program is funded by AmeriCorps.

KHEAA administers the Kentucky Educational Excellence Scholarship, need-based grants and other programs to help students pay their higher education expenses, KHEAA said.
