KSP reported Trooper Billy Over was investigating a single-vehicle accident, where a driver had struck the cable barrier on the eastbound lanes. The driver of a Nissan Rogue lost control in the middle of the road causing a domino effect. Several traveling in the eastbound lanes were unable to stop, striking one another.
The unidentified driver and passenger of the Nissan Rogue were the only people injured in the accident, KSP reported. They were transported by EMS to Jennie Stuart Hospital in Hopkinsville for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The eastbound lanes along I-24 were closed approximately four hours.
