BruceHOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (8/8/18) —  The James E. Bruce Convention Center will celebrate its 15th birthday Thursday, Aug. 23.

General Manager Petra Piffko announced the public is welcomed to help mark the occasion during The Bruce Birthday Bash 6-8 p.m. at the Convention Center.

In addition to providing free drinks, hors d'oeuvres and birthday cake to guests, The Bruce will also make several historic announcements and presentations regarding the future of the events facility.

“Not only do we want to celebrate 15 years of service within this community, but we’re also wanting to provide a refresher and get folks excited about what’s ahead — what we have in store for the next 15 years,” said James E. Bruce Convention Center Chairperson Darrell Gustafson. “The Bruce has become a staple in Hopkinsville and throughout western Kentucky, but we believe we’re just getting started in terms of what we can do, what we can provide and what we can become.”

Additionally, The Bruce will be offering a 15 percent discount in conjunction with its 15th birthday to anyone attending the Bash and books or renews an event at the convention center, organizers said.

“We believe we are the premier events space in the region and can offer a ‘one-stop shop’ experience for anyone who chooses to take advantage of our services,” said Piffko. "By offering this exciting discount in correlation with our birthday celebration, we hope new customers will give us a try and old ones will come back on board to receive that special touch that only The Bruce can provide.”
