DillerELKTON, Ky. (1/7/19) — A Crofton man faces a felony drug trafficking charge after a trooper reported finding more than an ounce of a substance believed to be methamphetamine.

Kentucky State Police Post 2 Trooper Hunter Carroll made a traffic stop 11:02 p.m. Sunday on a Chevy Tahoe for expired plates, according to a news release. The trooper noticed signs of criminal activity after speaking to the driver, identified as Christopher Diller, 43.

After Diller gave consent to a search of the Chevy, the trooper reported finding the alleged meth, drug paraphernalia and several prescription pills.

Diller was charged with rear license not illuminated, no registration plates or receipt, failure to maintain required insurance, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance-meth (second or greater offense), first- and-third-degree possession of a controlled substance, prescription controlled substance in improper container and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was listed as being held in Todd County Jail today, pending bond.
