fatal collision 2 300CADIZ, Ky. (5/20/19) — A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Fort Campbell soldier early Sunday morning off U.S. 68/80 near Energy Lake Road in Trigg County.

Kentucky State Police Post 1 reported receiving a call to investigate the 1:07 a.m. fatal collision.

Preliminary investigation revealed Kolton L. Bush, 20 of Forsyth, Georgia, stationed at Fort Campbell, was traveling west on U.S. 68/80 in a 2006 Dodge Ram.

KSP reported the vehicle left the road and went into a ravine. Bush was wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision. Post 1 Master Trooper Jay Thomas indicated Trigg County Coroner’s Office pronounced Bush deceased at the scene.

Trigg County EMS and Rescue along with Trigg County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
