The southbound entry ramp from Crofton Exit 23 Interchange will close at approximately 6 a.m. July 22 to allow rehab work and paving. The southbound ramp from Kentucky 800 to the Pennyrile Parkway southbound lanes at Crofton will be closed for approximately 15 days, KYTC Spokesman Keith Todd reported.

Message boards will be placed to alert the public with the southbound ramp closure. Motorists may detour via U.S. 41-S to connect with the Pennyrile at Exit 11.

This southbound entry ramp closure is part of a reconstruction project along the Pennyrile Parkway that runs from about a mile north of the Kentucky 2642 overpass starting at milepoint 16.556 extending northward to near the U.S. 41 Ramp Overpass at milepoint 29.9, a distance of 13.344 miles.

The project is divided into about 6 phases spread over about 18 months, Todd said. Hall Contracting of KY INC., is the prime contractor on this $43.2 million rehab project. The Pennyrile Parkway has been designated as a Future I-169 Spur Corridor.
