CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (7/26/19) — Three people have died following an early-morning crash today near mile-marker 3 of Pennyrile Parkway southbound lanes. A fourth victim sustained critical injuries and is being treated at Jennie Stuart Hospital. Another involved is being treated at Jennie Stuart for non-life-threatening injuries.

Christian County Sheriff’s Office accident reconstructionists are at the scene investigating the crash, CCSO Spokesman Chris M. Miller reported around 9 a.m. Southbound lanes are expected to be closed for a while.

Miller asks all drivers heading southbound on Pennyrile Parkway to exit at Fort Campbell Boulevard or Eagle Way Bypass.

Preliminary investigations revealed two passenger vehicles and a semi were involved in the collision around 5 a.m., Miller reported. Two victims were pronounced deceased at the scene, and one person died later at Jennie Stuart.

The identities of the victims are not being released at this time, Miller stated. More information will be provided later.

CCSO, Christian County Rescue, Christian County Coroner's Office, Hopkinsville Fire/EMS, Kentucky State Police, Herndon Volunteer Fire Department, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and Christian County Emergency Management Agency responded to the scene.
