ccso logo e1519835422528CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (8/12/19) — A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a Clarksville teen over the weekend.

A Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrest report lists the driver ran a stop light along Fort Campbell Boulevard 1:54 a.m. Saturday.

Shawn Michael Ussia, 19, was stopped after moving through the intersection of the Boulevard and Thompson Lane, the report lists. The deputy could smell marijuana emitting from the Shelby Dodge Charger, and Ussia was holding a small backpack.

Authorities revealed digital scales caked with marijuana residue was in the backpack. A Glock 9 mm handgun, plastic bag with marijuana residue and a Gatorade bottle with clear liquid and marijuana were also found.

A glass jar in the backpack contained $40, while Ussia was in possession of $1,020 cash, according to the report.

Ussia was charged with disregarding a traffic light, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and trafficking in marijuana.
