ccso logo e1519835422528CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (8/19/19) — A Clarksville, Tennessee man succumbed to injuries sustained during a motorcycle crash over the weekend.

Christian County Sheriff’s Office investigated the 7:45 p.m. Saturday crash along I-24, 6 miles south of Hopkinsville.

Kevin Burney, 46, was driving a 2004 Harley Davidson along the Pennyrile Parkway I-24 entrance ramp to merge onto I-24-E, according to the report. A witness told officers the motorcycle veered off the left side of the road into loose gravel, causing him to lose control and flip the bike.

Burney was ejected from the Harley, CCSO reported. He was taken via Air Evac to Skyline Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Burney was traveling with a small group of motorcycles at the time of the crash.

Burney died at the hospital Sunday, according to authorities. Deputy Rick Burgess investigated.
