Owensboro Catholic logoOWENSBORO, Ky. (1/19/19) — Owensboro Catholic notched a win on the road on Friday night, defeating host Apollo 66-56 in a 9th District girls' basketball game.

With the win, Owensboro Catholic improved to 13-6.

Apollo dropped to 10-10 with the loss.

Hannah McKay led Owensboro Catholic with 17 points. Accompanying McKay in double figures for the Lady Aces, Mackenzie Keelin netted 15 points, Sarah Beth Clemens posted 14 points and Spencer Harvey added 11 points.

Owensboro Catholic led 33-26 at halftime and extended its lead shortly after the break. The Lady Aces outscored Apollo 15-10 in the third quarter.

Lexi Shadowen paced Apollo with 13 points, seven assists and five rebounds. Shadowen was the only Apollo player to reach double figures in the scoring column. Barely missing double figures, Addison Carter contributed nine points for the E-Gals.
