DD MVDP 4MADISONVILLE, Ky. (11/11/19) — It was a sunny and pleasant Sunday afternoon during Madisonville’s 55th Annual Veterans Day Parade held by American Legion Post 6 and VFW Post 5480.

It is known as the largest veterans day parade in the state, with this year's celebration featuring hundreds of entries.

Thousands lined Main Street through downtown to take in all the sights and sounds including several area veterans from across the region, marching bands, JROTC groups, beauty queens, classic cars, fire trucks and other machinery as well as city, county and state official appearances.

Children were ready to collect the droves of peppermints and candy items tossed out during the festivities.
