Hopkins County Central StormMORTONS GAP, Ky. (11/28/17) — Blasin Moore led four Hopkins County Central players in double figures with 18 points as the Storm defeated visiting McLean County 83-75 in a boys' high school basketball season opener on Monday night.

Accompanying Moore in double figures for Hopkins County Central, Keyairreon Hobgood scored 15 points, Tylan Mann 12 points and Sam Almon 10 points.

Another Hopkins County Central player, Ethan Putty, narrowly missed reaching double figures in the scoring column, posting nine points.

Other scorers for the Storm in the opener were Adrian Stringer (seven points), Johntize Miller (four points), Jaylen Barnhill (three points), Mason Hargis (three points) and Cobie Pyle (two points).

Hopkins County Central finished 8-of-26 (30.8 percent) from 3-point range. The Storm went 19-for-34 (55.9 percent) at the free throw line in the opener.
