Madisonville North Hopkins MaroonsMADISONVILLE, Ky. (11/29/17) — Host Madisonville-North Hopkins rolled in its season opener on Tuesday, toppling visiting Daviess County 78-50 as the two boys' high school basketball teams met for a season opener.

Thriving offensively, Madisonville-North Hopkins shot 65.4 percent from the field (2-point and 3-point field goals combined). The Maroons finished 8-of-12 (66.7 percent) from the free throw line.

Cade Cunningham led four Madisonville-North Hopkins scorers in double figures, netting a game-high 22 points.

Following Cunningham in the Madisonville-North Hopkins scoring column, Kenny White posted 17 points for the Maroons.

James Gilbert recorded a double-double for Madisonville-North Hopkins, scoring 13 points and pulling down 11 rebounds.

Accompanying three of his teammates in double figures for the Maroons, Ksuan Casey contributed 12 points.

Christian Fields (six points), Jordan Vaughn (four points), Marquise Parker (two points) and Mason Vandiver (two points) provided additional scoring for Madisonville-North Hopkins in the convincing victory.
