Ohio County High Bball hardwoodMORTONS GAP, Ky. (12/29/17) — The Ohio County Lady Eagles fell short in their first game after Christmas. Brighton, a team out of Tennessee, edged Ohio County 36-35 in the Lady Storm United Mine Workers of America Classic at Hopkins County Central High School on Thursday.

With the loss, Ohio County dropped to 2-10.

Brighton improved to 10-3 with the win.

Determined Brighton, which led 18-13 at intermission, edged Ohio County 13-12 in the fourth quarter to claim the win.

Mya Coleman and Kelsey Kennedy led Ohio County with 12 points apiece.

A balanced Brighton offensive effort didn't feature any scorers in double figures.
