McLean CountyCALHOUN, Ky. (12/31/17) — The McLean County girls' basketball team concluded the 2017 portion of its 2017-18 schedule on a winning note, beating visiting Butler County 63-37 on Friday.

With the win, McLean County improved to 9-4.

Butler County stumbled to 4-8 with the loss.

A total of 11 different players scored for McLean County in the win. Leading McLean County offensively, Whitley Patterson scored a game-high 19 points. Patterson was the only McLean County player to reach double figures in the scoring column.

Kassidy Daugherty tossed in nine points while Lauren Hudson added eight points for the Lady Cougars in the convincing victory.

McLean County, which led at the conclusion of each quarter, used a 25-4 run in the third period to put the game out of Butler County's collective reach.

The Lady Cougars were 15-of-20 (75 percent) from the free throw line in the winning effort.

Kasidy Graham paced Butler County with 10 points. Graham was the only Butler County player to reach double figures in the scoring column.
