Daviess County BasketballLEXINGTON, Ky. (12/31/17) — Madison Central prevented Daviess County from winning in the final round of the Traditional Bank Classic Lexington Catholic High School on Saturday, defeating the Panthers 83-55.

With the loss, Daviess County dropped to 10-6.

Madison Central improved to 11-3 with the win.

Isaiah Minter led Madison Central to the win, scoring a game-high 21 points.

Four Indians reached double figures in the scoring column as Dustin Geralds posted 17 points while Isaiah Cozart and Kenyon McKee contributed 12 points apiece.

The two teams were tied 21-21 at the conclusion of the opening quarter. But Madison Central managed to double up the Panthers 22-11 in the second quarter to lead 43-32 at halftime.

Caden Coomes paced Daviess County with 18 points.

Blake Boswell was the only other Madison Central player to reach double figures in the scoring column tallying 10 points as the Panthers fell.
