BasketballCALHOUN, Ky. (1/2/18) — McLean County and Hopkins County Central will be among the boys' high school basketball teams taking the court for the their first games in the new year. The Cougars are set to host the Storm tonight.

McLean County has won four of its last five games. The Cougars are 5-6 overall.

McLean County is fresh off competing in the Stultz Pharmacy Holiday Classic at Greenup County High School n Lloyd in northeastern Kentucky. The Cougars defeated Russell County 65-60 in the Stultz Pharmacy Holiday Classic on Friday.

Hopkins County Central is 6-7 overall. The Storm compiled a 1-2 record in the Meijer Holiday Classic held at Bowling Green High School Wednesday-Friday. During the Bowling Green-hosted holiday tournament, Hopkins County Central notched a win over Murray whole dropping games to Bowling Green and South Warren.

The Cougars and Storm are set to meet for the second time in the 2017-18 boys' high school basketball season. Hopkins County Central topped visiting McLean County 83-75 in a season opener on November 27.

Tip-off for the Hopkins County Central-McLean County boys' basketball game is set for 7:30 p.m..
