Apollo E GalsOWENSBORO, Ky. (1/3/18) — Lauren Alexander connected on a last-second shot to lift Meade County over host Apollo 57-56 in a girls' high school basketball game at Eagle Arena on Tuesday night.

Meade County claimed its third straight victory.

With the loss, Apollo dropped to 6-7.

Meade County improved to 6-2 with the win.

Senior guard Braelyn Rhodes paced Apollo, leading all players in both scoring and rebounding. Rhodes scored 34 points and pulled down 11 rebounds for the E-gals.

Lexi Shadowen netted nine points and Amber Dunn contributed eight points for Apollo in the setback.

Apollo suffered its third straight loss.

Longtime Third Region rivals, Apollo and Meade County aren't scheduled to meet again this season.
