Madisonville North Hopkins MaroonsMADISONVILLE, Ky. (1/3/18) — Three Madisonville-North Hopkins players reached double figures in the scoring column as the Maroons defeated visiting Hopkinsville 64-44 in a boys' high school basketball game on Tuesday night.

Madisonville-North Hopkins posted its fifth straight win.

With the win, Madisonville-North Hopkins improved to 12-3.

Hopkinsville slipped to 4-7 with the loss.

Madisonville-North Hopkins shot 42.1 percent (24-of-57) from the field. The Maroons were 4-of-13 from 3-point range,

Madisonville-North Hopkins shot 66.7 percent (12-of-18) from the free throw line.

James Gilbert led Madisonville-North Hopkins with 16 points. Gilbert connected on six shots from the floor and one beyond the arc.

Accompanying Gilbert in double figures for the Maroons, Kenny White scored 14 points and Cade Cunningham contributed 13 points.

Ksuan Casey narrowly missed reaching double figures in the scoring column and led all players in rebounding, netting nine points and puling down a game-high 15 rebounds for the Maroons.
