Owensboro Catholic logo 325WHITESVILLE, Ky. (1/9/18) — Three players reached double figures in the scoring column as Owensboro Catholic defeated host Trinity (Whitesville) 70-32 in a mid-season boys' high school basketball game on Monday night.

With the win, Owensboro Catholic improved to 9-6.

Trinity slipped to 11-9 with the loss.

Bailey Ballard led Owensboro Catholic with 15 points.

JD Marshall scored 13 points and Luke Hayden netted 10 points for the Aces in the win.

Owensboro Catholic set the tone early, outscoring Trinity (Whitesville) 17-4 in the first quarter. The Aces led 36-12 at halftime and remained in control throughout the second half.

Finishing strong, Owensboo Catholic outscored Trinity 14-4 in the final quarter.

Cameron Wright paced Trinity with 14 points. Wright as the only Trinity player to reach double figures in the scoring column.
