Daviess County HS logoWHITESVILLE, Ky. (1/10/18) — Bailey Hume and Claire Johnson scored 13 points apiece and two of their teammates joined them in double figures as visiting Daviess County downed Trinity (Whitesville) 71-40 in a girls' high school basketball game on Tuesday night.

Daviess County improved to 7-11 with the win.

Trinity dropped to 8-6 with the loss.

Emma Anderson contributed 12 points and Shealyn Mason added 10 points for the Lady Panthers.

Daviess County moved ahead early and carried a lead out of each quarter. The Lady Panthers led 32-17 at halftime and finished strong, outscoring Trinity 21-7 in the fourth quarter.

Cassidy Morris paced Trinity with a game-high 15 points.

Nina Wathen accompanied Morris in double figures for the Lady Raiders, posting 14 points.

Trinity suffered its fourth straight setback.
