Owensboro Catholic logo 325CALHOUN, Ky. (1/21/18) — Owensboro Catholic pulled away to beat Hancock County 57-39 in the semifinals of the 3rd Region All 'A' Classic at McLean County High School on Saturday.

With the win, Owensboro Catholic improved to 12-6 and advances to the 3rd Region All "A" Classic championship game.

Hancock County dropped to 9-8 and was eliminated from the regional small-school tournament with the loss.

Ty Vincent led a balanced Owensboro Catholic offensive effort with 13 points.

Hayden Riney and Bailey Ballard accompanied Vincent in double figures for the Aces, scoring 10 points apiece.

Owensboro owned an advantage at the conclusion of each quarter, carrying a 26-17 lead into halftime.

Jaxson Gray led Hancock County with a game-high 14 points. Gray was the only Hancock County player to reach double figures in the scoring column.
