Henderson County LogoMORTONS GAP, Ky. (2/10/18) — Four Henderson County players reached double figures in the scoring column as the Colonels defeated host Hopkins County Central 81-73 in a boys' high school basketball game on Friday night.

With the win, Henderson County improved to 13-10.

Hopkins County Central dropped to 13-11 with the loss.

The Colonels outscored the Storm 24-15 in the final quarter.

Henderson County, which claimed its third straight win, delivered multiple key defensive stops during the regular-season matchup. The Colonels led 50-45 at halftime.  

Isaac Anglin led Henderson County with a game-high 22 points. Accompanying Anglin in double figures for the Colonels, Kale Gaither scored 18 points, Cartel Gilbert added 17 points and Jadal Fletcher posted 12 points. Fletcher drained a game-high four 3-point field goals in the Colonels' victory. 

Henderson County was 12-of-19 from the free throw line.

Tyler Mann led the Storm with 17 points. Hopkins County Central featured three scorers in double figures as Sam Almon registered 16 points and Ethan Putty contributed 13 points.

Hopkins County Central was 23-of-34 from the free throw line.

The Storm remained in the loss column after falling to Caldwell County in overtime in a 7th District game one night earlier. Host Caldwell County outlasted Hopkins County Central 83-80 in overtime on Thursday night. Blasin Moore scored 24 points and Keyairreon Hobgood added 23 points in the Storm's heartbreaking loss to Caldwell County. Joining Moore and Hobgood in double figures for the Storm in the district game against Caldwell County, Mann and Almon chipped in 13 points and 11 points, respectively.
