apollo eagles logo 2015OWENSBORO, Ky. (2/10/18) — Braelyn Rhodes scored 13 points and Amber Dunn netted 11 points to lead Apollo past host Daviess County 41-34 in a Ninth District girls' basketball game on Friday night.

Apollo improved to 12-14 overall and 4-2 in the Ninth District with the win.

With the loss, Daviess County stumbled to 11-16 overall and 3-3 in the district.

Apollo gradually pulled away for the win. The E-Gals owned a lead at the end of each quarter. Apollo led 19-15 at halftime and outscored longtime district rival Daviess County 10-7 in the third quarter.

Bailey Hume paced Daviess County with 14 points. Hume was the only Daviess County player to read double figures in the scoring column. Narrowly missing double figures for the Lady Panthers, Mikayla Hamilton finished with nine points.
