Henderson County LogoDRAFFENVILLE, Ky. (2/10/18) — Visiting Henderson County made itself at home on the road at Marshall County on Saturday night, prevailing 50-45 in a girls' high school basketball game.

With the win, Henderson County improved to 12-9

Marshall County dropped to 14-12 with the loss.

Eighth-grader Kaytlan Kemp led Henderson County with a game-high 17 points. Kemp helped Henderson County to set the tone early, scoring nine points in the first quarter.

The Lady Colonels outscored Marshall County 17-8 in the opening quarter and led 28-18 at halftime.

Alyssa Dickson accompanied Kemp in double figures for Henderson County, scoring 13 points.

Katie Rideout aided the Henderson County scoring effort, adding eight points.

Tera Colson paced Marshall County with 13 points. Colson was the only Marshall County player to reach double figures in the scoring column. Narrowly missing double figures for the Lady Marshals, Lorin Powell chipped in nine points.
