apollo eagles logo 2015OWENSBORO, Ky. (2/11/18) — Apollo fell short in its latest outing as Hancock County prevailed 57-56 in overtime in a boys' high school basketball game at the Owensboro Sportscenter on Saturday.

With the loss, Apollo dropped to 10-14.

Hancock County improved to 12-13 the win.

Familiar foes, Apollo and Hancock County swapped leads throughout regulation. 

Jacob White led Hancock County to the win, scoring a game-high 23 points. White netted a game-winning free throw for the Hornets with 4.6 seconds remaining in overtime.

Finishing directly behind White in the Hancock County scoring column, Jaxson Gray added 22 points

Nathan Boyle led an extremely balanced Apollo scoring effort with 14 points. Alex Gray and Hayden Shelton added 11 points apiece while Angel Saldana and James Graham contributed 10 points each for the Eagles in the short effort.
