Apollo High School EaglesCALHOUN, Ky. (2/13/18) — Determined Apollo battled back from a double digit deficit to defeat host McLean County 53-46 in overtime in a late-season girls' high school basketball game on Monday night.

Apollo improved to 13-14 with the win, which was its second straight victory.

With the loss, its second consecutive setback, McLean County dropped to 15-11.

The E-Gals outscored the Lady Cougars 11-4 in the extra period to pull out the hard-fought win.

Braelyn Rhodes led Apollo to the victory, pouring in a game-high 31 points.

Lexi Shadowen accompanied Rhodes in double figures for the E-Gals, scoring 11 points.

Whitley Patterson paced McLean County in the setback, finishing with 16 points.

Kamryn McMahon joined Patterson in double figures for the Lady Cougars, scoring 12 points.
