Henderson County LogoDIXON, Ky. (3/3/18) — The Henderson County Lady Colonels' postseason run ended in the Second Region Semifinals. Christian County defeated Henderson County 63-50 in the semifinals of the Second Region Girls' Basketball Tournament at Webster County High School on Friday night.

With the loss, Henderson County ended its season 14-13.

Christian County improved to 23-7 and advanced to the Second Region championship game with the win.

Trinitee Jackson led Christian County with a game-high 24 points. Joining Jackson in double figures for Christian County, Aaliyah Hampton added 15 points and Laderia Gold posted 10 points.

Christian County led at the end of each the first two quarters before facing a one-point deficit at the conclusion of the third period. Thriving late, Christian County finished strong to claim the victory.

Emilee Hope paced Henderson County with 16 points in the season-ending loss. Accompanying Hope in double figures for Henderson County, Alyssa Dickson scored 13 points and Katie Rideout contributed 10 points.

Christian County will meet tournament host Webster County in the Second Region Girls' Basketball Tournament title game at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
